Internship =)
My internship is becoming a very rewarding experience for me. I enjoy going to the elementary school every day and seeing my 3rd graders! They are always eager to see me in the morning and to tell me stories about their weekend or just stories in general. I have also students coming to class and bringing me either things that they have made for me, or small items that they have bought for me. For example, last week I received 2 pencils, 4 erasers, 1 postcard, and 2 Halloween cards. By the way, my students know that I LOVE Halloween and absolutely love pumpkins. I feel completely comfortable in this classroom and cannot wait to become a teacher!

It sounds like you have made many connections with the students. Do you think teachers have to feel a connection with their students? And how about a similar question....Do students need to feel a connection to their teacher? Will they perform better if they like you?
ReplyDeleteoh yes definitely! Teachers need to be connected to their students and let them feel comfortable in their classroom and around them. That way, the student will open up to the teacher and respect them as well. Students will perform much better if they feel safe in the classroom and respected by their teacher!!
